Pay Transparency
Soon, it will be mandatory in the European Union to include a salary indication in job postings. This new regulation on salary transparency aims to increase openness in the labour market and better inform candidates when making application decisions.
But what does this concretely mean for you as an employer or recruiter? We’re happy to explain.
What exactly is changing?
From the entry into force of the new European rules, every job posting will have to include a clear indication of remuneration. This can, for example, take the form of a salary range or a starting salary, depending on what best suits your organisation.
Job postings without a salary indication will no longer meet the new requirements.
Why this change?
The European legislation on salary transparency aims to make the labour market fairer and more transparent.
Concretely, it aims to:
- Better inform candidates even before they apply;
- Promote greater equality in the recruitment process;
- Increase transparency around remuneration within the European Union.
By sharing this information earlier, candidates gain a more realistic view of the role and its expectations, even before submitting their application.
