Jobtoolz switches to Amazon Web Services (AWS)

On Friday 5 July at 8pm, we are switching to our new hosting provider Amazon Web Services (AWS). Due to this, our platform will be offline for a short amount of time, but we are doing everything we can to enable a smooth transfer and limit the downtime to a few hours.

What are the benefits of the new hosting provider?
We are preparing for the ongoing growth of Jobtoolz, which is why we are switching to AWS. The switch ensures that our platform is scalable, which means we are prepared for an increasing number of users, and that is not the only benefit:

👉 Amazon has advanced security measures and certification, which means our platform will be even more protected against cyber attacks.
👉 Amazon owns European data centres, so we will stay in line with GDPR legislation.
👉 Amazon is an innovative progressive company that will enable us to leverage tomorrow’s technology.

What does the switch mean for you as a customer?
Did you receive an e-mail from us? Please follow the instructions to configure your CNAME. If you haven’t received an e-mail, you don’t have to do anything. We will make sure all data is automatically transferred to the new provider. You will be able to continue using the URLs you are familiar with and the existing connections will also be continued. So you don’t have to worry about anything.

  1. Will my data stay within the EU?
    Yes, we are choosing to use Amazon Web Services’ European data centres, which is fully compliant with the current GDPR legislation.
  2. Is Amazon Web Services becoming a new sub-processor?
    Jobtoolz was already using Amazon Web Services as a sub-processor, so now we are expanding that to hosting services. You can find the full list of our sub-processors here.
  3. What is the impact for me?👉 The switch enables us to offer you a faster and more secure platform to provide the best possible support during the recruitment process.
    👉 On 5 July, you will not be able to use our platform and your jobsite for a short period of time from 8pm onwards. We are doing everything we can to make this transfer go smoothly and minimise the impact.
